Dairy/Frozen Food Clerk

A major grocery retailer is looking for dairy/frozen food clerks.

All positions for this establishment require superior customer service and satisfaction. Responsible for processing/stocking products according to dairy/frozen standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage. Perform duties of frozen food clerk when assigned. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

PERSONAL SKILLS:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent or one to three months related experience or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to perform these operations using units of money and weight measurement.

TRAINING: Complete training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety protocols, and product knowledge.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and reach 6 to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to wet, humid, and/or cold conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Location: Corolla, Kitty Hawk, and Kill Devil Hills
Pay: $17 to $19 Per Hour Depending on the Location
Type: Temporary/Seasonal, 30-40+ Hours Per Week
Schedule: 11:00 AM-7:30 PM or 12:00 PM-8:30 PM
Start Date: March 15, 2023
