Maintenance Technician

We have several clients looking for both experienced and entry-level Maintenance Technicians for tasks such as repairs and preventative maintenance. You will be responsible for applying fixes to equipment and building systems and ensuring facilities are tidy and functional. The ideal candidates will have either experience and solid technical knowledge OR a desire to learn these valuable trades and show up for work. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. The pay rate is based on skill set.

Responsibilities:
• Perform guest room preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform fixes such as broken locks, pumps, electrical, plumbing, etc.
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
• Install appliances and equipment.
• Painting and caulking.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation).
• Check the functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm).
• Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
• Report to facilities or maintenance manager for issues.
• Upkeep pools on site.

Skills:
• Experience as a maintenance worker/technician OR
• A desire to learn these trades, work hard and show up every day.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Experience using hand and electrical tools.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and dexterity.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time (Can lead to FT/Year-Round for the right person)
Locations: Kill Devil Hills, Duck, and Manteo
Pay: $15-23 Depending on Experience
