Stocker/Bagger

A major grocery retailer on the Outer Banks is looking for stockers/baggers for their locations for the upcoming season.

All positions for this establishment require superior customer service and satisfaction. This position requires following correct bagging procedures, providing carryout and parcel pickup service, loading merchandise into customer vehicles, and returning shopping carts into the store. This person also completes various other task such as spot cleaning, emptying trash, and loading/unloading as needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age.

PERSONAL SKILLS:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

TRAINING:
Complete training including but not limited to new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety protocols, and product knowledge.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and smell. The individual is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and reach from 6 to 72 inches. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally exposed to wet, humid, and/or cold conditions and moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
