Delivery Manager

Location: Elizabeth City
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Pay: $25 to $30 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Delivery Manager to serve as the central point of contact for company-wide logistics and delivery operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing a team of CDL and non-CDL drivers, managing the delivery process end-to-end, and ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and within budget. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and capable of balancing people management with operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and provide daily support to the delivery driver team.

• Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and promptly each day.

• Serve as the communication link between drivers, vendors, and company leadership.

• Hire, train, discipline, and terminate drivers as needed; ensure compliance with HR practices.

• Oversee weekly payroll processing for the driver team.

• Manage and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely fleet maintenance and repairs.

• Monitor and address performance gaps, absenteeism, and compliance issues.

• Promote safe handling and use of all delivery equipment and vehicles.

• Maintain budget oversight for the delivery operations and fleet services.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior experience in delivery and warehouse management is required.

• Must be dependable, with reliable transportation and a working cell phone.

• Ability to read, write, and operate a computer for scheduling and reporting tasks.

• Valid Driver’s License required.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
