We are looking for a maintenance yard assistant site manager with a strong work ethic and a professional business manner. Farm, industrial, or commercial mechanical background is required.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily operations of a busy environment both indoors and outdoors.
• Motivate, teach, and co-manage work associates. Assist with interviewing, hiring, and dismissal of workers as directed by supervisor.
• Operate heavy equipment and be mechanically inclined.
Requirements and skills:
• Must be able to adapt to changing environments
• Must be flexible in schedule when needed
• Must be neat, clean, and keep the environment around them the same
• Must have some mechanical background (farm, industrial, commercial)
• Must be able to weld and torch, minimum experience required.
• Must be able to handle a wrench/socket
• Must be physically fit – able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must have a general understanding of commercial electrical panels/switches
• Must have equipment experience; forklift, tractor, and front-end loader
• Must have a general understanding of computers/smartphones
• Must be able to converse with customers, dispatchers, truckers
• Must be able to function in a production setting as well as an office setting
• Must be able to complete reports, bill of ladings, and paperwork on time and legibly
• Must be able to follow the rules and regulations provided by the company
• Must represent the company in a professional business manner and be courteous at all times
• Must follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Must work well with others.

Location: Edenton/Hertford/Elizabeth City
Schedule: Temp, Temp to Hire, Full-time – Monday – Friday
Pay: $17 to $19 based on experience
