Production Assistant – Floater

📍 Location: Edenton, NC
🕒 Schedule: Full-Time 1st – 2nd – 3rd Shifts
💲 Pay: $20 to $23 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Floater to support multiple production areas in our food processing facility. The Floater will be responsible for operating machinery, performing quality checks, and maintaining cleanliness to ensure smooth and safe operations across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with production start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Set and adjust equipment controls according to customer specifications.
• Perform quality checks throughout the shift to ensure product consistency.
• Accurately record process data for each lot using legible handwriting and basic math.
• Keep assigned areas clean and sanitized throughout the shift and at shift change.
• Report equipment issues or quality concerns to the Senior Processing Technician or Shift Supervisor.
• Work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to fumes, dust, odors, and chemicals.

Requirements & Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of machine operation experience.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
