General Maintenance Mechanic

We are looking for a General Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, repair, install, maintain, and adjust plant equipment.

Responsibilities
• Knowledgeable of and able to perform all the tasks required for a General Maintenance “C” Mechanic.
• Learn how to read blueprints/schematics and how to do shop maintenance.
• Learn to cut and know how to weld ferrous metals and nonferrous metals.
• Know the operation of hydraulic systems, problem analysis, and repair of such metals.
• Learn how to troubleshoot and repair all types of water pumps and learn the water system of the plant and can install, remove, and do plumbing repairs.
• Know and comply with the Quality Improvement Process, safety rules and procedures, and working together as a Team Member.
• Learn to do Vee-Belt tension calculations.
• Wear and /or use all safety equipment required for the job.
• Job requirements may dictate earlier or later starting and quitting times.

Requirements and skills
• Reading, math, and analytical skills required.
• Coursed at a Community College for Self-Development in mechanical field is preferred.
• Exposure to and work in temperatures of less than 40 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity.
• Bending, twisting, lifting, reaching, sitting.
• Reliable Transportation.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Location: Lewiston-Woodville
Schedule: Full Time- Monday-Friday, Weekends as needed, 1st shift- 5:00 AM- 1:30 PM, 2nd shift- 2:00 PM- 10:30 PM
Pay: $20/hour (Pay based on experience)
